On January 26, VIETSTAR Training Training and Consulting Joint Stock Company held the Workshop on “Managerial Considerations in Implementing Company strategies in Vietnam: Challenges, Issues, Views, Tools and Tips” for Managers of Sembcorp Industries in Ho Chi Minh City and online in Singapore.
Speaking at the Workshop, Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hang, CEO of VIETSTAR expressed her thanks to the Management Board of Sembcorp Industries for trusting and choosing VIETSTAR as the consultant and trainer in its roadmap of renewable energy development in Vietnam. The presence of a large number of Sembcorp’s leaders and staff at the Workshop is a testament to VIETSTAR‘s efforts in the journey of consulting and training for both domestic and foreign businesses.
At the same time, Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hang also respectfully thanked the facilitators and guest speakers at the workshop. Regarding the challenges in developing renewable energy in Vietnam, Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hang hopes that the valuable sharing of the facilitators and guest speakers will contribute positively to Sembcorp Industries in their journey of sustainable development in Vietnam.

Attending the Workshop, Sembcorp managers had chance to enrich their knowledge from prestigious facilitators and Speakers such as: Dr. John Behzad, an emeritus Professor of Finance and Management at California State University (USA) with more than 40 years of experience in training MBAs and business executives in the USA and oversea; Dr. Nguyen Dinh, Former Director of National Marine Renewable Energy (MaREI) Centre, Republic of Ireland; Research expert of Hydrogen production from offshore wind farms.
The workshop was a place to share in-depth knowledge with key topics such as: Application of Powerful Strategic Models, enhancing value for enterprises with a sustainable development orientation in the context of global economic challenges; unlocking the potential for alternative energies development in Vietnam – roadmap that the country is working forward and tips from international experience; Vietnamese work culture and tips to improve Corporate Culture for foreign companies in Vietnam.

The workshop opened up opportunities for managers of Sembcorp Industries to enhance their knowledge of effective management and strategy implementation in Vietnam; at the same time, to promote strong cooperation between Vietnamese and Singaporean businesses.
